The Regates Royales de Cannes, at its 45th edition, is one of the oldest event for classic yachts, since when the Société des Régates Cannoises and the International Yacht Club took the decision, in 1929, to call their traditional spring regatta ‘Le Regates Royales' in honor of King Christian X of Denmark, skipper of his own yacht, the 6MJI 'Dana', racing in Cannes.
This year the Regates Royales will take place from 24th to 30h September. This year again will see many schooners competing all together in their Schooner Class and with the support of the new born International Schooner Association. This will be a unique opportunity to charter schooners such as Elena and Puritan, while racing against each other. Whether or not you are a passionate sailor, dont' miss the enchanting sight of these majestic schooners crossing their bows in the beautiful bay of Cannes.
